Our local region of East Gippsland and the Riviera has been a favourite of Melbournians for over 100 years. There is a rich history of paddle steamers, classic wooden boats, farming and holiday makers in this region. The area is a bird watchers paradise. Along with the world famous silt jetties nestled alongside the Mitchell River, this is a must to visit at sunset for bird watchers, fisherman and photographers.

Raymond Island is a delight - to hop on the vehicle and passenger ferry and spot the prolicfic koala population. The island has board walks that allow accessibility to pushers and wheelchairs alike. The nearby towns of Lakes Entrance, Bruthen and Buchan make a wonderful day trip. The Buchan Caves have been amazing visitors for over 100 years. We have an abundance of wineries, galleries, historical tressle bridges and markets that are sure to entertain and entrance.

A leisurely stroll from Eagle Point Cottages, down a peaceful country lane leads you to Gippsland Lakes a haven of water front restaurants,shopping, cafes, boating and fishing. We are fabulously close to Paynesville - the Boating Capital of the Riviera Region.

Boats are available to hire without a license from local boat hire. Bring your bikes and kayaks and enjoy the local tracks and lakes area. Theres something for everyone!
