About Eagle Point Cottages

We are a family run business enjoying this area as much as the regular customers who return year after year. Originally from this area, we travelled around Australia and lived in Western Australia and could not resist returning to one of the most magnificent parts of this country in 2010. Kate and family love walking and hiking in the area, exploring the lakes by boat, and the snow fields of Mt Hotham during winter months. There are many local community events hosted each year and we love to get involved in the music festival or classic wooden boat festival. Our sons enjoy fishing in the lakes and Mitchell river.

Relax and unwind, walk or fish, visit markets and restaurants - Eagle Point Cottages are perfectly positioned to enjoy it all. These spacious, privately fenced, self contained cottages are an easy 3 hour drive east of Melbourne, and Woongara Cottage was purpose built for people with accessibility needs and for best friends on holidays.

The Shearers Cottage was lovingly restored from an old stable and shearing shed once used for goats and alpacas. The newest additions, The Gables and Sage Cottage, were opened in 2020 and are beautifully furnished for those wanting a touch of rustic country charm.

There is plenty of room to park your boat and car. We have split system comfort, private patios, outdoor wood fire pits and BBQs at each cottage, washing machines and sparkling clean cottages, all modern and beautifully furbished.

With our cottages set on 10 acres you are assured peacefulness in this tranquil retreat. There are great fishing spots only a couple of minutes away, and boat hire is available with no licence required in Paynesville.

Eagle Point Cottages is set on 10 acres of farm, coastal land on the Gippsland Lakes. These Lakes are the largest lakes system in Victoria and home to some of Victoria and Australia's popular annual boating and fishing events.

A leisurely stroll from Eagle Point Cottages, down a peaceful country lane leads you to the magnificent lakeside walk into Paynesville. This village is a haven of water front restaurants, shopping, cafes, boating and fishing. Paynesville is the Boating Capital of the Riviera Region. At the end of our country lane, lies a secluded tiny beach area where you and your dogs can swim and relax in privacy.
